I'm guilty of it. It's a city I loved to visit for three days

But also a city I know I wouldn't be able to exist in for longer than that

But whenever the weather begins to dip a little bit in temperature and we all settle into our fall routines

I always yearn for a fall trip to New York City

At the root of this problem the over romanticizing of New York are two things for me

The first is a trip that I took a few years back where everything seemed to fall perfectly into place for a weekend in the city

The colorful walk through Central Park my hungover outfit of a filsen wax jacket paired with some outdoor voices joggers

And the way that that first sip of red wine tasted as we sat down for our first dinner

And then there's the really troublesome one for me romantic comedies

From when Harry met Sally to sleep with since the adult you've got male

It's been ingrained in my brain that there is truly nothing like New York in the fall just like Kathleen Kelly said

New York aside the fall season is something I get unexpectedly excited about every single year the clothes the drinks the food

Just everything so when I sent an exploratory email to Valla box by doing a fall-centred candle for Sunday Scaries

My mind really began to raise

The initial list of sense that I sent them was kind of abstract freshly sharpened pencils crunchy leaves wet sidewalks

Spice cider hot toddy's Cabernet fresh lake water tea cashmere and maybe even a little malt

Do I know what half of those things smell like well? No, not really

But if you read that list to yourself and don't immediately crave a 50 degree weather day

Then you're a stronger person than I am and truthfully it took us a few rounds to get the sense samples right before we really

You know felt comfortable with something. I think my ideation of a candle that smelled like leaves and cashmere

May have been a little bit too out there
