Hey guys, welcome to the Service Tech Ride Along Podcast. My name is Justin Skinner. I will be your

host through the wonderful world of HVAC service. This is the first podcast. So I'll tell you about myself.

I'm a service technician.

I live in Virginia, Richmond, Virginia.

Around 12 years in the trade, heating and air conditioning

and mechanical work.

The bulk of that has been service work.

I did installs for a few years starting off,

but I really enjoyed service quite a bit better, so that's been my focus for the last decade or so.

My job title right now is Boiler service technician. I work for a commercial industrial company so most of the work I do is on you know commercial equipment industrial equipment and I work on a lot of boilers. I don't only work on boilers. We don't have enough boiler work for me to stay busy year round just doing that.

So I work on a lot of air conditioners, you know, a lot of furn furnaces work on pumps and all kinds of stuff.

Anything that a commercial HVAC service technician would work on I do work on with a few

exceptions. I don't do really any refrigeration work. My company is all doesn't do a ton of it and there are guys that are way more familiar with it than I am.

So typically if there's a refrigeration call, I'm not the one that's going on it

Although I have been on a few I don't do a ton of cooling tower work either we do have a few guys that are quite a bit better on that type stuff than I am which is fine
