And this is something that I've been noticing from speaking to a lot of people and what I'm

0:04.4

noticing in trends as well is that at the present moment in time, the direct bookings are coming

0:10.7

in. They are on the back of an inquiry. So 10, 15, 20 years ago, before booking.com, Airbnb,

0:19.5

Expedia, everybody who has had a business back then, you will know that every single

0:24.3

listing site had a phone number on it or had an email inquiry. There was no instant book,

0:29.2

because 10, 15, 20 years ago, what you'll notice is that people wanted to ask a question before

0:33.9

booking. Obviously, instant book changed that and it went for a time where everybody was just

0:39.3

instant booking, wherever that may be. But what we're noticing and I've noticed this from speaking

0:44.1

to quite a few people over the course of the last week and not only that, but looking at trends

0:48.6

that are going around. And this could be for a number of reasons. Nobody's actually dug into why,

0:53.2

but you can just maybe draw your own conclusions. I mean, you're speaking to the guest. You know

0:57.9

what the questions are coming in. But ever since the pandemic, people are much more likely to ask

1:03.1

a question before booking. One of the biggest problems when it comes to converting a look at

1:09.1

into a booker for a direct booking is the trust factor. Whether you like it or not, your guest is

1:15.4

looking to make sure that you are who you say you are. So how can you do that? Well, the number

1:22.8

one accreditation and recommendation certification service in the industry is iPRAC. And I'm so happy

1:29.7

to say that iPRAC is sponsoring this podcast and is the lead sponsor for all bootfully content.

1:36.5

The reason why we partnered up is because I have been working alongside iPRAC for many years.

1:42.5

I recommend them to every bootly customer, client and team bootly member. The reason being

1:48.8

is that unlike other accreditation services, they are not just country specific. It is global

1:54.4

and it is worldwide. They've got over 10,000 members and they've got over 250,000 properties,

2:00.8

which means that you can display your iPRAC certificate on your website and on your socials
