I am joined, as always, by Mr. Phil Blankenship from the new

Beverly. Hello, Phil. Hello, Brian. And we have somebody else joining us from the new

Beverly today, first-time guest. Mr. Brian Quinn, hello, Brian. Hey, Brian, how you doing? I'm great. It's

great to finally have you on the show. And I know we've talked about you on the show and Phil can speak to some of the things

that you've done over the years. Obviously, you're a long time new Beverly staffer and programmer,

and we've talked about your action grind house double features and things like that. And yeah,

Phil, take it away. Yeah,, Brian, I know that a lot of

people probably see you and immediately think of the Grindhouse Film Festival, which you did for

many, many years at the New Beverly with your friend Eric Caden. How did all that come about?

That came out, initially started by Eric Caden and Johnny Legend, who we lost recently.

And I've known both of those guys for many years when I grew up in New York.

I would meet them at conventions in New York.

So once I moved out to L.A. in 2002, they were already starting to do that.

So I kind of joined in helping out.

After a few months of the Grindhouse Film Festival at the New Beverly with Johnny and Eric,

Johnny moved at one point, moved to Florida to go fishing.

Eric got distracted by many other things.

So I basically took over doing most of the programming

and tracking down prints and setting up guests for that.
