just hit. We were going to do a top 10 list each, and I just found it to be painfully boring

in my brain after doing a couple years of content a couple episodes of content

for other things where i was like hey look for me this year it's it's just like one battle

uh head and shoulders above anything for me personally same and so it just feels like to

there's another this the other thing is i do think this is actually a really good year for movies

uh but you have to go

looking for them in that way and so so we did uh I don't know if we're going to be playing by the same

rules I think we're both going to have different rules attached to us my my idea was to do it

nothing that was nominated in any of the categories but but then you, well, you can talk about

having seen less new movies this year in your case. So you might mix it up a bit. I think I stuck to that. I might be wrong on a couple things, but I'm pretty sure I avoided that, not because of any big reason. I just don't want to, didn't want to go one battle, one battle for me. No, yeah. I mean, there's no one battle on my list. They'll say that.

So, yeah, even if it's just that, I think that's a good enough attempt given that. But let's be clear from the top, what I want to happen at the Oscars is I want one battle to win. Yeah, same. Especially PTA and film. Like, he hasn't won it. And this is one of his best movies and one of his most emotionally, like, exciting movies in a while.

when you watch this movie yeah no isn't that crazy man that is a different lane this is not the

there's a different director the magnolia but you can see elements in scenes of all of that in his film

in his new film his film kind of has all of it but but I just uh so I'm hopeful in that uh and also you know I loved uh Marty Supreme and I loved I thought centers was really solid I don't know if it's quite the the fact that is breaking all the Oscar rights I'm a little bit like okay but it's much more of a I think it has got some very well made I like it a lot I don't know if I quite at the level of like I don't think it's as good as get out for instance I you know if we're going to compare in that lane and not in terms of originality certainly you know no get out kind of floored me but it has in terms of directing it's really impressed yeah no I agree and it could win screenplay it's very possible I think well not very but it is possible um but, I agree. And it could win screenplay. It's very possible, I think. Well, not very, but it is possible. But yeah, I should... I should mention, like I said to you off Mike, I had a slower year with new movies last year, and you, I think, hit it on the head in that I moved out, you know, my house and I was living in L.A. And I think what happened is instead of going to

the AMC, as much I started just subbing in going to rep theaters, going to the Vista, going to the

new Bev. So I did watch like over 600 movies last year, but only like 63 of them were new from

2025. So my pool is a little smaller than yours, and it's going to make my list a little
