Everyone loves a good story and a good storyteller.

But there is no storyteller like the Lord Jesus,

and there are no greater stories told than the ones Jesus shared.

In this study, spiritual stories, we consider the parables Jesus told and their

application to us. These are truly the greatest stories ever told, and the Lord has something

he wants to say to you through them. Let's join Scott Pauley now.

When you serve the Lord, it is very easy to get to the place where you forget you're just a servant.

I mean, after a while, you start thinking you know what to do.

And if you're not careful, you start thinking of yourself as the person in charge.

Only Jesus is the master.

We're just servants.

And we must always remember that we are just servants.

It is with that truth in mind that our Lord gave an amazing parable in Luke chapter number 17.

In verse number five, the apostles, that's the original servants, said unto the Lord, increase our faith. Now that sounds very good, doesn't it?

Why would they need more faith? Well, in the previous verses, he told them that they needed

to forgive and forgive repeatedly.

And I think you need faith to forgive.

You need faith to do everything that God has given you to do.

And here's our Lord's answer, beginning in verse number six, the Lord said,

If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say into this sycamine tree,

be thou plucked up by the root and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you.
