Hi everyone. The observant among you will notice I'm not at my desk.

Decided to take you for a walk today and see how we get on. I often talk about, you know, that

a walk or that Trudy and I walk every day. Well this is one of the routes that we take. It's

basically it's around the outside of a golf course.

Actually, a very lovely golf course if you're into that kind of thing.

I don't play golf.

But it's a very beautiful course.

It has some claim on having been designed at some point by the same fella that laid out the old course

at St Andrews so it's got quite the heritage for the golfers amongst you.

It's a it's quintessential sterling here as we get around as we keep moving you will start to see more of the landscape.

You'll get a sense of the hills that are nearby.

Stirling is the gateway to the highlands, so-called, also known as the silver brooch that hitches the highlands to the lowlands.

You'll get a sense of that as well.

Crucially, when I get to it, you'll see the castle and other bits of the architecture of Stirling.

I was talking yesterday, you'll see it on the channel. It's just gone out actually. I just posted it before I came away.

An interview. I chat with a friend of mine. A friend recently made John Waters, an Irish journalist of long standing.

And we were chatting yesterday and I said he said I can't remember from

from which I was the thought actually came but we were of the opinion that there's

great change in the wind great change coming It's hard to be specific, I suppose, about what and why,

but I know that I've gone through a long process of shock at what was happening, disbelief,

incomprehension, anger, refusal to accept, five stages of grief,

basically. And much more recently, you see golfers, there you go, those golfers behind me there.
