| 0:00.0 | My entitled neighbors sent their relatives to my house to try and use my pool without my consent, |
| 0:05.2 | resulting in all of us going to court, with my neighbor and their family being guilty of a second |
| 0:10.0 | degree trespassing charge. Here's what happened. Okay, so the front of my driveway has a sign that |
| 0:14.8 | reads private property, no trespassing, as you pull into the driveway. I have a fence up around my |
| 0:20.0 | pool to keep out unwanted animals |
| 0:21.7 | and intruders with the only way in being a key that you need to unlock the gate. I have security |
| 0:26.6 | cameras on certain places of the house pointing to the pool. So with that information out of the way, |
| 0:31.3 | last summer while I was away, my phone alerted me. It basically said that my security cameras |
| 0:35.9 | had caught something and so I checked to see the live footage and it was three teenagers that were in their early teens, and one adult trying to climb the fence to my pool. I have a tarp over my pool at all times, which can only be removed by a switch in my house, and you would think that they would see the tarp and then just leave. Well, I immediately called the police, and they told me that they would take care of it. The four didn't even attempt to leave and they just kept trying to climb the fence. And I then watched as the four of them were arrested. The day I get home, my neighbor who must have been watching for my car, storms over and starts screaming at me. My sister and her kids are going to have a criminal record now because of you. But I looked at them and I said, oh, so that's who my camera's detected. You should know my sign in front of my house says private property and no trespassing. She then says that she'll see me in court when their court date comes up. The sister of the neighbor pleaded in court it was a hot summer day and they wanted to cool down. so her sister insisted that they go use my pool |
| 1:28.5 | but to ignore the sign that said private property because her sister and I are good friends. |
| 1:33.2 | But my neighbor and I are not good friends. I explained to the judge that I did not give consent |
| 1:37.6 | for my neighbor to use my pool while I was gone. The judge saw all the evidence needed, |
| 1:42.4 | especially the sign in my driveway saying no trespassing, |
| 1:45.3 | and found the neighbor and her sister guilty of second degree trespassing, which in my state carries |
| 1:49.8 | the punishment of a $200 fine and 20 days in jail. The judge found the two nephews and niece |
| 1:54.7 | guilty as well. My lawyers also requested a restraining order, which was also granted. The teen lawyer |
| 2:00.2 | tried to explain that the |
| 2:01.3 | teens didn't know about the sign in my driveway, but the judge dismissed that because they |
| 2:05.2 | willingly listened to their mother and aunt in believing that it was okay to trespass, |
| 2:09.6 | which is most definitely not my problem. Okay, I love this so much because my God, that is so |
| 2:14.6 | dangerous. Like you have so many things set up to be like, hey, don't go |
| 2:17.8 | my property while I'm not there. This is private property. There's a locked door. And I have my pool covered. Literally, there are so many things that show that, hey, this is not something you want to mess with. You shouldn't be here and this is not okay. And the fact that your neighbor literally was like, oh, it's okay, we're friends. It's like, dude, no, we're not. If you were my friend, |
