Where is NATO in this negotiation between Washington and Keefe and Moscow?

The headline in the London Telegraph, Macron has, quote, no mandate, end quote, to send European troops to Ukraine, says

Georgia Maloney, the Prime Minister of Italy.

This is a tangle because earlier, Macron and Starmor may have talked about sending

U.K. and French troops to Ukraine as non-NATO presences.

Anatole, is Europe capable of fielding an army to guarantee peace in Ukraine?

Or is this all posturing?

It's posturing.

I mean, the thing is that after making that proposal or offer, immediately afterwards, and now once again during his visit to Washington, Stama said that this would only be a real guarantee if backed up by the United States.

After, in fact, both Trump and Haguezeth had said that America will not give that kind of guarantee.

So no, this is not going to happen.

But, you know, we will have to look at other.

The thing is, I think it is, it's a mistake to talk of guarantees, absolute guarantees to Ukraine.

There are no permanent and absolute guarantees in international affairs.

There are simply, you know, deals in which hopefully both sides, but particularly, of course, the bigger side, gets

enough of what it wants, not to undergo the costs and risks and sacrifices of relaunching

the war. And so, I mean, from that point of view, of course, what the West must insist on

is the right under the peace agreement to go on supplying Ukraine with defensive weapons, and as many of

them, as Ukraine needs and can absorb. That, I think, well, I hope that the Trump team
