All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Luxem, along with my co-worker Jordan Bianchi. We are

writers at The Athletic. And today we are here to talk about the underachievers and overachievers

of the 2020 NASCAR Cup series season. But first of all, it's bringing our overachiever.

Jordan Bianchi, how are you doing, Jordan?

I have never been called an overachiever, so this is starting off well today.

Well, the brief hesitation in my voice was to call you an underachiever, but I thought

that would be a really bad way to start off this podcast.

And you're not an underachiever.

It would just have been a mean thing to say to my coworker i thought you had a

great year i appreciate that thank you um anyway it feels like i'm talking to my parents all of a

sudden well um listen we we this time uh unlike our previous two podcasts about like the funniest moments in the top five races,

we compared notes on our three underachievers and overachievers to make sure we didn't have any

overlap.

So we do know who the other person is going to say, but we don't know the reasons why the person said it.

And we also didn't come up with any sort of

criteria for what constitutes an underachiever, overachiever. So that's kind of up to the person.

And we'll just jump right into it here with, I gave Jordan the first pick for both

underachievers and overachievers. So he has his three and then I went with my three.

So we'll just start sort of how we went in order here.

We'll start with the underachievers.
