I hope you have your notebook ready because today we're going to be talking about why a

narcissist has to work so hard to distort reality.

So before we get started, I think it's important that we preface this video by understanding that just because someone

disagrees with us or just because someone can be full of themselves or just because someone can be

nasty does not make them a narcissist. We all have the potential to exhibit narcissistic traits.

We have a bad day. We don't feel well, we get

stuck in traffic, someone ticks us off, we have a knee-jerk reaction and we react poorly,

means that we have had a narcissistic moment. But when we're talking about narcissism,

we're talking about very particular signs, symptoms,

and particularly pervasive patterns.

So we're talking about someone who lives in a fantasy world.

And the staples are a lack of empathy, exploitation, and a sense of entitlement.
