This is Elizabeth of Sparkle Stories.

And today we are celebrating our elders,

which means our grandparents and our great aunts and uncles,

and all of those folks that are the older generation that are so wise

and have come through so much.

So I am picking a story about a grandmother.

It's called Nanny's story and Nanny tells a story of when she was younger.

And she used to sing to horses.

And how she had an opportunity to really make a difference.

And because she authentically wanted to help, some magic happened.

And I'm sharing this story because this is the kind of story that grandparents can tell

if you ask them.

So I'm hoping that after you listen and after you consider

that you might want to go to the older folks in your life

and ask them to tell you stories about when they were young

because those stories are precious.

And often we can learn things about ourselves from them.
