Ad Age's TV editor Brian Steinberg took note of an interesting

Forrester research report last week.

It found that our consumption of video is expected to rise 25% to five hours per day by 2013.

That's compared with the four hours the average American watches these days.

Forrester defines video as stuff we watch on TV, but also computers, mobile phones,

portable media players, and even digital photo frames.

Now, worth mentioning is how much video we were watching just two years ago, 2.6 hours

of TV alone, according to the Labor Department's American Time Use Study.

Let's do some math, people. In just seven years, we've about doubled the amount of video we watch.

Assuming things continue at the rate they're going, by 2026, we'll be watching 10 hours of video a day.

And if labor negotiations continue the way they've been going, actors will still only be getting about a nickel per view.

But we'll get into that craziness a little later in the show.
