Today we're going to be talking about a different type of worm composting system.

So there are the stackable tray systems, which I think I've talked about quite a few times,

and they're probably the one you're most familiar with if you're doing any verma composting at all.

We're going to compare that to something called a continuous flow-through system, which is currently my go-to

method for verma composting because of its simplicity and efficient design, and then

there's a couple other benefits that I'll talk about.

But first, I think for those of you who do not know what a stackable system is, I'm going to try

to explain it as best as I can.

This is something that is a little bit easier to explain

in visual format, so I do have a YouTube video comparing and contrasting both of these methods,

which I would encourage you to check out if you're more of a visual learner.

But I'm going to go ahead and give it my best shot here.

So for a stackable system, let's say you have three containers.

Let's call it top, middle, and bottom. So the bottom container is going to

be the collector of worm juice, basically all of the water and liquid that will fall out of the system as the

worms start to eat and break down food scraps, right?

The middle tray is going to be your active tray.

That's the tray that has your bedding,

your food scraps, and your worms.

Now you're saying, okay, well, if that's the active tray,
