Hey guys, welcome back to thick and thin. This is Katie, per usual, and I'm back again with another

episode for you guys of my internet diary diary I guess you could say because to be quite

honest this is really just a compilation of my thoughts things that go through my

head things that I'm interested in people's stories that I look into, things like that.

So welcome back. If you're new, you got a lot of catching up to do. I've done quite a lot of episodes now.

I think it's actually crazy. I always say, like, oh, my podcast, it's like a new a new venture is something that I've done

recently sort of thing and I look back and I'm like wow I've actually been doing this for a

while now there's a lot of episodes and I just want to you

know take a moment to thank you guys for you know tuning in every week it really

means a lot that people care about what I have to say so anyway further ado I'm going to get into tonight's episode.

Basically tonight's episode is like a smorgasbord of stories, people that I want to talk about that I find interesting, some art is involved, but the

overlying idea or kind of overarching idea of tonight's episode is, well it's rooted in the social media age that we live in and you

know people were sliding in my d.ms a lot recently asking me to speak to social media and how it like it just completely it kind of

paints a false picture sometimes for us sometimes social media can make us feel really shitty about ourselves can make us feel that we aren't

significant because others lives look a lot better than ours and things like that and how

oftentimes even us as creators you know people that have

social media channels we find it hard to portray ourselves in the most realistic

light because it's not aesthetically pleasing and it's not something we want to share

with everyone because we're afraid or we just you know don't want to discuss the darker

parts of our lives so anyway that was kind of where the inspiration began and then I started

watching some TED Talks that a lot of you guys were recommending so a lot of these people that I'll be

discussing tonight
