Hi, my name's Alastair McQueen. I'm head of savings and retirement at Aviva, and this is my dovey flip.

What a great intro. How are we? I'm good. Thank you Jack. This is a brilliant

experience and it's wonderful to meet you. You too and I got my green tea because I'm fasting and you've

got your... I've got my black coffee because I'm not. There you go. So I want to start at the

beginning of your career because there'll be a lot of young people tuning in from

all walks of life and also a number of people from LinkedIn that won't be young people

but they'll be interested to figure out what what where did you start your career so my first

job my first question is what was your first job yep what did that teach you that you want to pass on to young people?

My first job was, I would sometimes think it was my best ever job.

And there's a reason for that.

I'm Scottish, you might hear my accent, and I grew up in Glasgow.

Now, one of the things that Glasgow is famous for is football.

And there are two big teams in Glasgow. And I grew up as a, and this

might alienate half the audience, I have to say, but I grew up as a Glasgow Rangers football fan.

And my first job was a crowd steward at Glasgow Rangers football club. So I was being paid,

not a huge amount, but I was being paid to go into that ground with my yellow jacket on and to
