I'm 11 Alicia. Welcome to program. What can I do? I'm calling because I have a five year old that I've been in therapy with and he's particularly very difficult and he throws.

Tantrums when he doesn't get his way where he will spank me or if someone corrects him, he will spank them or I've had multiple like nannies and babysitters quit because when it's time to like go to bed, he throws tantrums were he'll throw things at the wall and like try to break the door if he gets placed in his room.

And I just don't really know what to do.

I'm a single mom, so I have to work typically at night. I work in a restaurant, so he I try to get one to commit, but then he like goes through them because they he gets too difficult for them to handle them and I have to find someone else.

If there's no dad and there's no foundation in the family of mother care and a kid is reacting badly, it's because the kids upset.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, I agree is upset. I just I want to try my best that I can to do to fix it. So I guess they just don't know how to make him not upset anymore.

Well, that's not easy thing to do. We have to change her circumstances. You have to be there for him.

He has to have the warmth and a sense of security from you. Right now he's screaming in pain. That's the behavior.

So you might want to consider things like moving in with some family so you can be there.

Figuring out some way to be with him and I know how young you are work all night. If you can take it. I mean, this chaos is it's like echoing back at you.

You have to figure out what kind of circumstance and what kind of lifestyle is more likely going to make him feel incredibly secure.

I mean, if you've ever looked at some of those many documentaries, it breaks my heart whenever I see them and they show these shelters with these dogs who have been behaving badly.

And they go from owner to owner to owner owner. Finally, they end up they're going to kill the dog and they show the dog and the dog scary.

And then they show somebody who knows how to handle these situations to slowly make a connection with the dog and it's terrifying at first.

And then down the line, hours, weeks later, you see this dog on its back.

Happy as peach pie getting its belly rubbed.

And you go, how in the hell and we go from that, well, the dog was terrified, upset and that was the only way it knew to communicate with the world.
