I'm John B from gangreneation.com. On today's show, we're going to talk about expectations for the players the Jets drafted in 2026. For the day three picks, it's all about

developing on the practice field. For DeAngelo Pons, it's about figuring out what his role is. It's

not clear what position he's going to play, but that's all right. But for the first round picks,

we need immediate impact. That's where we will begin. And the Jets were one of the stories of the

2026 NFL draft.

They picked eight players overall, but four of those players were top 50 selections, including

three first round picks.

And following the immediate draft grades, the Jets scored good marks for whatever that's

worth.

And we know that's not worth a lot.

In reality, what matters is what comes next on the field. But when you draft four of the top 50

prospects in a class, you are expecting immediate impact. There's no question about that.

The guys who are picked at the top of each year's class are viewed as the most pro-ready

players. Guys, you expect to be starters. And I think the Jets got four immediate starters in this draft.
