Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. We are your host, Kristen Walker

0:06.6

Smith and Kelly Black. Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Isaiah 53,

0:13.4

verse 4. Now, I was teaching a group of girls about the Atoment of Jesus Christ when I

0:18.6

learned something as I was saying it. We were talking about

0:22.2

how Christ had suffered for our sins so we could be forgiven and change and eventually live with

0:27.0

our father again. And we talked about how Christ died and he was resurrected so that we too could

0:31.6

be resurrected and live forever. And then I asked the girls why, as Isaiah said, Christ quote,

0:37.1

hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows?

0:39.9

Like, why did Christ feel the pain you felt when you broke your arm? Why did he feel the sadness you

1:01.9

As I read that scripture, it dawned on me. Christ didn't need to feel that pain to help us return to our father's presence.

1:09.0

He felt our pain simply so he could understand

1:12.1

and help us through our difficulties. It's like having a broken arm and then having a friend

1:17.3

break their arm too so that they can empathize and help you as you heal. It is unbelievable.

1:22.8

Christ is such a personal, loving Savior that he suffered all your pains so he could help you through them.

1:29.6

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is, Christ suffered to succor.

1:35.4

Thanks so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me one minute at a time.

1:42.8

Hey, parents, how confident are you that your kids know how to recognize the Holy Ghost?

1:47.8

Or get an answer to prayer or to know what to do if they don't get an answer to prayer.

1:52.9

I created a 30-day study guide called Hear Him that you can do as a family or have your kids do on their own or do on your own.

2:00.5

And it teaches all about
