Hello, 13th, yours. Brandy Churchwell here with a new trial and a new search for justice.

This trial takes us out to Los Angeles, the City of Angels.

Famed sex therapist, Dr. Amy Harwood, was stunningly beautiful and incredibly smart,

gaining her notoriety in Hollywood that led to some high-profile relationships,

including an engagement to comedian and actor Drew Carey. One relationship

with ex-Garith Persehouse ended with her getting a restraining order to get away. In 2020,

eight years after their split, she runs into Gareth at an award show and his obsession is

reignited. Weeks later, Gareth breaks into Amy's home, resulting in her death

after dropping from a third floor balcony. While he admits to breaking in, he denies killing her.

This is part one of murder in Hollywood, the tragic death of Amy Harwick. You know, To understand this trial, we need to go back in time a little bit to when Amy Harwick met her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Persehouse.

Amy was well known around Los Angeles. She modeled. She was

regular on podcasts and TV shows. She had a previous engagement to actor and TV host Drew Carey

and was even at one point a playboy centerfold. She was more than just another Hollywood beauty,

though. Amy had a brilliant mind and she used the money that she made from

modeling, go-go dancing, and even fire-eating to pay her way through school. Y'all, the fire

eating is actually really cool, and it's kind of wild, so I'll include some of those pictures on

the 13th juror podcast.com episode guide, but they're really cool. Amy earned her bachelor's degree in

psychology and went on to get her master's and doctorate's degree, become a licensed therapist,

and she published her first book in 2014. Gareth worked as a software engineer and a

freelance photographer and even tried his hand at being a stand-up comedian. But his

set was actually highly political and not really funny, so he bombed and was kicked off of stage.
