State prosecutors accused Karen Reid, who was O'Keefe's girlfriend of backing into him and leaving him to die in the snow.

Reed and the victim had been out drinking at a couple of bars in town the night before when they were later invited back to a home on Fairview Road.

She stated that she dropped the victim off on the left.

Reed's attorney says she tried to call O'Keefe and had no idea anything had happened to him.

Reed pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, motor vehicle homicide, and leaving the scene of a crash causing death.
