0:30.3	I'm Holly from Grand Rapids Nation.
0:39.3	I'm really grateful to be sober today and really honored to be here on this panel.
0:43.3	I had been toying with the idea of whether to come to the conference or not and Monday I got
0:49.3	my answer when I was asked to speak on the panel.
0:54.3	I was asked to speak on steps one, two, and three and it's really done me a lot of good over the
0:59.3	week to think about, to really think about the steps and go back and read my 12 and 12 and
1:04.3	big book and things like that.
1:06.3	And the first step we admitted we were powerless over alcohol and that our lives had become
1:11.3	unmanageable.
1:12.3	Long before I came to AA I admitted that I was alcohol it to myself.
1:17.3	I didn't think I was powerless over alcohol.
1:22.3	So for me there's two real important parts of this step.
1:26.3	The powerlessness over alcohol and the unmanageability of my life.
1:30.3	I came to AA purely out of fear and I had nowhere else to go.
1:34.3	I had tried churches and I had tried psychiatrists.
