emphasizing spending is his plan for recovering from the pandemic. The spending past the inflation

reduction act, the spending future as the president said to finish the job. I welcome

Baranique Puergeri of the Mercatus Center to comment on the president's intention to spend

more on the spending that's already in train. And also the president's remarks about social

security and Medicare and castigating the Republicans for any fashion thinking about either

trimming or reducing the amount of money that goes into Medicare and Medicaid and Social

Security as compared to the other parts of the budget that have fancy things like the

defense budget. Baranique, I'm very good even to you. First, the spending. The president

looks comfortable with the spending he's done and means to do spending much more in

future if the Republicans cooperate or if he's successful on convincing the people to

re-elect him in 2024 and has a Democratic Congress again.
