Financial Times shares in first Republican several other US regional banks plunged on

Monday as investors worried that regulators had not done enough to stem deposit outflows

following the collapse of Silicon Valley bank.

George Bailey, George Bailey of Bailey, the savings alone, pleading with his neighbors,

don't you understand your money is in his house and his money is in her house.

And the customer, the client says, I understand George, I trust you.

Give me my money.

I welcome Jim McTay, formerly Washington editor of Barons, who's seen this before.

We understand what trust means when there's a bank run.

It disappears for the moment.

Jim, what we've been witnessing the last 72, 96 hours is bank runs again and again, so

much so that Silicon Valley bank no longer exists.

We know that signature bank no longer exists been taken over.

First Republic bank does exist, but it was down sharply.

Is this some new twist of a bank run or is this the same old thing that George Bailey

suffered in it's a wonderful life?
