0:22.0	So why did we go to Congress? I'm going to go off script. I come here because I'm incredibly
0:27.0	concerned. We've often framed these issues as we've got a few bad apples. We've got these bad
0:31.2	deep fakes. We've got to get them off the platform. We've got this bad content. We've got these bad deep fakes, we've got to get them off the platform, we've got this bad
0:33.7	content, we've got these bad bots, and we've got these dark patterns. What I want to argue is we have
0:39.2	dark infrastructure. This is now the infrastructure by which 2.7 billion people bigger than the
0:47.0	size of Christianity make sense of the world.
0:50.2	And if someone went along private companies and built nuclear power plants
0:55.0	and all across the United States and they started melting down and they said,
1:00.0	well it's your responsibility to have hazmat suits and you know have a radiation
1:03.1	kit that's essentially what we're experiencing now. The responsibility is being put
1:07.9	on on consumers when in fact if it's the infrastructure it should be put on the
1:12.2	people building that infrastructure.
