really getting to know someone in this instance and in all the past episodes that we've done.

This happens to be someone that I'm just an admitted fanboy of Alana Schur.

She is all kinds of awesome senior feature editor

or car and driver. You might know her work from Hot Rod magazine. You might know her work from a lot

of places. She is one of the auto and racing industry's finest reporters, journalists, authors, videographers, you name it,

of the many things that I appreciate about Alana. She doesn't just sit in front of a keyboard

and try and tell stories through the printed word. She gets her hands very dirty, whether it's building engines, building race cars,

racing those vehicles, drag racing being one of her passions. She is someone who genuinely

does more of what she chronicles with her wonderful pros and almost anybody in the sport.

And so I've had a long affinity for her work.

It's fortunate to meet her.

I don't know however many years ago.

But since then, honestly, I subscribe to Car and Driver magazine to read her column,

one or two others, hugely appreciative of her talent.

And so getting to speak with her, learn about her introduction to the world of automobiles,

motor racing, her passions, the path that led her to where she is today, circuitous route

we find with so many of us in this industry covering the sport,

participating in the sport, really being a leader in this sport. All these areas I think you might

find fascinating about her. And she is someone who's constantly trying to develop more young

folks like her to follow along

and make sure that this industry we love is well stocked with talent.
