Before we begin our story, pause me for a moment if you can and go grab a map or globe.

Okay, I want you to find the west coast of the United States.

It's on the left side of the map.

Now up in the far top left corner, put your finger on the state of Washington.

Now look carefully at your map and locate the cascade range of mountains.
