0:05.0	The word is penultimate. Not exactly a word we use in everyday conversation, but it's a good one because it means second to last.
0:12.0	Okay? And today is the second to last lesson in the Book of Mormon.
0:17.0	Today we're covering Moronai 7 through 9, which leaves Moronai 10 for next week, which is the grand finale of this grand and glorious book of scripture.
0:24.6	In some ways, I am so devastated to say goodbye to the Book of Mormon.
0:29.6	And the only thing that's helping me get through this, this sad departure, is a glorious welcome for the Doctor and Covenants coming up next year. I'm looking
0:38.1	forward to diving into that incredible book of scripture. But what we're doing today in our
0:43.7	penultimate Book of Mormon lesson is allowing Mormon one last chance to speak from the dust.
0:51.5	Moroni gave us basically the end of his message last week in Moronai 1 through 6.
0:57.2	This focus on the church and how to build it and found it in the latter days to be able to bring
1:03.1	us back to God in a way that would be pleasing to him. Now that is Moronai's final message.
1:09.2	He's going to have a final farewell in chapter 10 next week,
1:12.3	his third and last attempt to say goodbye to us, the one that was actually successful.
1:18.1	It leaves this week's lesson then to be a chance for Moroni to look back over all of the material
1:25.3	that he's done. He's already abridged the record of the Jaredites, for
1:29.5	example. He's let his father do all that work of bridging the record of the Nephites. But in going
1:34.0	through all of the scrolls and rolls and plates and everything else, he finds two letters from
1:40.8	his father and the record of a sermon that his father once taught.
1:45.0	And to me, there's something beautiful about a son wanting to let his dearly beloved and departed father speak three last times.
1:56.0	I just want the world to know things that my father taught.
1:59.0	Whether that's a public sermon, chapter seven,
2:01.7	or private letters, chapter eight and chapter nine, I love that Moronite is including this,
