Friends, sometimes we work really hard at something, a relationship, a job, only to be let down in the end.

Disappointments like this happen.

It's a reality of life.

But just because we have disappointments in life doesn't mean life itself should be a disappointment.

Disappointment gives us directions.

It tells us where to focus our energy.

And when used properly, it can be freeing and inspiring.

When a door closes on us, we have to learn

not to put more energy into that door.

And instead, go looking for new doors.
