This week we'll be doing a series of episodes on perfectionism, how we can let go of it and

get past the limitations that it puts on us.

Perfectionism is the killer of productivity and happiness, but it's something that most of us struggle

with in one way or another because we want to put our best out there and that's totally reasonable. The issue arises

when we never put ourselves out there because we're worried that it won't be

our best. But the reality is very few days do we actually perform at our true best.

In fact, the meaning of the word best implies that you may only be at your best a few times in life.

How would a professional athlete, artist, speaker, or leader

get anywhere if they didn't just go out and do it. For example, go look at the music by a

legendary band. Actually look at their whole catalog. You'll recognize you probably only know a few of their songs.

And that's just among the songs that they've publicly released. The same is true

for artists. You might know the Mona Lisa, but I bet you don't know every single one of Leonardo da Vinci's works of art. I know I sure don't. You see, the great's become great because they put pen to paper over and over and over.

So today, we're going to do a meditation that will help us do the same

by releasing those doubts and fears which hold us back from chasing our dreams.
