Hello and welcome to the Monday August 20th 2018 edition of Tesla Daily on

0:11.4

official Tesla Podcast.

0:12.8

My name is Rob Maower.

0:13.8

We've got a lot to get to today, kind of a crazy day with Tesla starting off the day

0:17.0

down 6% or so in the pre-market, and finally closing the day up 0.96% to $3.04 which compared to the NASDAQ up 0.06%.

0:27.0

But before we get into all of that, this is a milestone episode for Tesla Daily.

0:32.0

One year ago today, I began this podcast. This has been an

0:34.8

absolutely crazy year probably the quickest year that's gone by in my life

0:38.6

probably the hardest that I've had certainly the busiest but so many positives and so many things to be thankful for, including this podcast.

0:45.0

I started this podcast with a few simple goals in mind.

0:48.0

Number one, I just wanted to help inform people on Tesla.

0:51.0

I was consistently getting questions from all my friends on what

0:54.0

0:57.4

follow it super closely and it takes a lot of time to do that so I wanted to help make

1:00.8

people's lives a little bit easier and kind of streamlined some of that for some people.

1:04.8

Number two, I wanted to develop myself. One of the reasons I chose to do this podcast every day

1:09.6

is because I had been reading a lot about neuroplasticity, which is super fascinating, basically the ability of the brain to make physical changes to itself over time, and that's something that can be influenced by the actions that a person takes. A lot of that related to the power of habit. So one of the things

1:24.8

that I wanted to improve upon was my speaking ability. So I thought to myself, okay, right now my

1:29.6

brain is not currently wired to excel at speaking, but if I do something every day and I do it in a very focused and measured way,

1:37.6

over time my brain will physically adjust itself to better facilitate that skill.

1:42.7

And for some reason that physical adjustment part of it

1:45.5

was really powerful to me.
