I'm here with my house, Matt Hodgeberg, and this is episode number 557.

It's interesting that Royal Caribbean released new itineraries for Short Caribbean in

26 and 27, and ordinarily, that might not be worth doing a podcast about in and of itself.

However, the response to that announcement has really taken me by surprise with a lot of the

negativity.

And I wanted to discuss it today.

Here we go.

So Rollo Committee releases 2026, 27 short Caribbean cruises this week.

If you're listening to this episode, the same week that it came out.

Well, you can now book cruises for three, four, five-night cruises out of Florida and Galveston.

And essentially, these are the short sailings that you can go on in order to do basically weekend

cruises or even long weekend cruises. This includes ships like Utopia of the Seas and Wonder

of the Seas, which we already knew

we're going to be doing short sailings, but Royal Caribbean is doubling Gowan.

They're adding Oasis of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas offering short cruises,

while in addition to other ships like Freedom and Explorer.

The result of this change, when we get to 2026 and 2027, and this is really winter of

2026, 2027, we're basically going to see most of the oasis-class ships sailing only short cruises.

Symphony of the Seas we know for a fact we'll be sailing and still seven-night sailings from Galveston,

and that's kind of a product of the fact where Galveston is located and maybe

anything else. And we still don't know where a lure will be yet, but anything's possible beyond that.
