Kevin and today we're talking about some ways that you can grow microgreens more

successfully.

I've done this a lot in my life

and I've gone through a lot of different ways

of growing micro greens, testing things out,

and I've come across a few things

that you could do to improve your microgreen production.

Let's get started.

Number one, your microgreens need drainage. So a lot of people will over-water their

micro-greens and they will be using 10-20 trays, as in those 10 by 20-inch propagation trays that don't have drainage holes.

And so obviously if you do that to a plant, let alone many plants, you're going to

get root rot, you're going to get fungal issues algae issues etc you want to

have either drainage holes in the bottom of those trays or you want to irrigate and drain

in a different way.

So I would highly recommend using the drainage trays,

but if you don't have them or you don't want to buy them

or you want to just grow with a solid bottoms of tray, you just want to make sure you don't

over water. And the only way you know that is by watering a tray and seeing how long

it takes for that tray to become dry again and then calibrating your watering to make that more consistent.

So it's consistently moist but never dry or soaked.

So again, that's a common tip.
