with the Chinese program, PRC's program, which is dual use, military.

However, we're keen on Brandon's thoughts because he is the author of the very useful winning space,

the book that compares and contrasts the different national systems and their ambitions.

Mission Update we have from live science this summary of the new conversation between

Russia and China.

A new memorandum has firmed up China and Russia's intent to lead the construction of a new

lunar base to be completed by 2036 as NASA talks about scaling back its own lunar ambitions.

Good evening, John. And hello, Gordon. Thanks for having me. The discussion at hand that China is leading with Russia is a full-blown, permanent manned facility likely on the southern pole of the

moon. And the idea is that they are going to bring with them as many of their fellow

Eurasian and allied countrymen as possible.

So there's talk about bringing Venezuelan scientists with them.

Basically, all the countries that America is sort of at odds with right now.

This is a Chinese and Russian

movement to kind of amplify the developing world, the bricks world, if you will. So what we're

looking at here is the axis of resistance on the moon? Yes. Yes, that's an excellent way to put it. Yes.
