Danielle Houchins, or Danny, as she was known to family and friends, was the oldest of three.

She had a younger brother and sister, and her family was super close, and they loved being outside and going on adventures and doing all the things, the hiking, swimming, fishing,

canoeing. My kids dream. The family moved to Montana in the early 90s from Michigan,

and here they could do all the things they loved.

And it's beautiful in Montana, so they're living it up.

Their parents worked at a ski resort in Big Sky, and they were on the ski patrol.

And they loved it. They're super outdoorsy, super patrol. And they loved it.
