Hey, everybody, it's Chris. And today I'm interviewing Dr. Manisha Benote. Dr. Manisha and I met on the holistic

holiday at Sea Cruise. I thought she was just phenomenal and enjoyed getting to know her and chatting

about what she does as a medical doctor. And she specializes in diet and lifestyle medicine centered around a whole food

plant-based diet which I think is terrific and I'm always excited when I meet doctors who are in a lot

of ways self-educated because they didn't learn these things in med school they took it upon

themselves to to read and research and really learn how to best take care of their patients.

And so, I mean, this is the future of medicine.

And I'm just excited to see you again, Dr. Benot.

And how are you?

I am located in the southeast.

I'm currently based out of Florida.

So let's start with your, with your, um, conversion story.

How did you, how did you, uh, become a convert to diet and lifestyle medicine to the whole food plant-based diet?

And yeah, I'd love to hear how that happened for you.

Yeah, absolutely.

So just as you already said, you know, we go into school and if we're going into med school,

we're learning one approach,

which is make the diagnosis, treat the disease.
