Hey, gang. So today my guest is Tulsi Ball. He's a storyteller, a chemist, and a botanist.

His focus on storytelling led him to produce over 400 hours of network television, including

Bering Sea Gold, show you might remember for Discovery Channel. And in 2014, while working on a documentary project in

Alaska, he and his brother learned about the incredible benefits of Chaga mushrooms, which were

helpful for their sister, who was battling breast cancers at the time. So it was very serendipitous

that they discovered this while his sister are right around the time when

his sister was diagnosed and going through treatment. And that experience and that research led him to

found a company called Chaget, which is a Chaga and medicinal mushroom supplement company.

I've consumed these products. I think they're fantastic and I wanted to have Telsi on to tell his story and talk about this, talk about medicinal mushrooms

and because there's a lot to learn. And I think you'll be fascinated not only by his story,

but by what he has learned. And so Telsie, thanks for taking the time to do this. Good to see you.

It's a pleasure to see you too, Chris. Thanks very much for having me on and for taking the time yourself,

giving us the opportunity to share a little bit of what I've learned about mushrooms over the

course of the last decade with everybody you know. Yeah, I'm excited. I've been fascinated by mushrooms for a long time,

and obviously they were a part of my cancer, anti-cancer diet. I still consume a lot of mushrooms

today. They're an important part of my life. And so, yeah, I appreciate the work you're doing.

And obviously, you and I have talked before.

And so I'm excited to dig in to some of the things that you and I talked about offline, off camera.

But before we do, I'd love for you to tell your story because personally, it's fascinating to me, how you got into filmmaking and some of the things you

worked on with discovery how did all that happen uh so it actually um it kind of came uh to me in in

college i was uh i was you know studying i was in second year of college and i actually got got cast in a tv show

uh and uh at random i ended ended up doing one episode of a show called My So Called Life back in
