Hey friends, welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are ready right now to get your

mind aligned with the truth of God. Now listen very carefully with that statement, the truth

of God. There is such a thing as absolute truth. God Himself defines it and He's revealed

it to us through the scriptures. And so we have the privilege, in fact, the great honor

of looking at God's Word every day and learning to think as He thinks about ourselves, about

Him, about the world, about the circumstances and people we meet every day. Let's dive

in. Today, we're going to be looking at Proverbs chapter 20, verses 16 and 21. And before

to give us some wisdom regarding money and regarding the kinds of things that we deal with

every month as we are paying debts, taking out loans, etc. Let's read it. Verse 16 says,

take a man's garment when he is put up security for a stranger and hold it in pledge when

he puts up security for foreigners. Alright, now this seems quite interesting as a proverb

that we would find in the Bible because he's basically giving instructions. If someone

is putting up security for someone else, so in other words, if they're co-signing or

on a loan or something of that nature, you're to take something as collateral, so to speak,

something in pledge that they will be eager to get back from you, which kind of ensures

that they're going to pay off the loan. Now this may seem like a strange sort of thing

to be included in the Bible, but what I think Solomon is doing here is he's pointing out
