I'm Rennie Sfernovsky in for Hannah Jewel. It's Monday, September 9th. Let's get you caught up with

today's seven stories.

Number one, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are getting ready for tomorrow night's debate. Harris and Trump will meet in Philadelphia for what could be the only presidential debate

between the two candidates and they've taken radically different approaches to

debate prep. The vice president has spent most of the past four days in a Pittsburgh

hotel for an intensive debate camp.

Her aides have created a mock debate studio, they cast a Trump stand-in to unleash harsh

attacks and offensive comments, and they put Harris through hours of rehearsed questions.

About 330 miles to the east, Trump spent much of the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster,

New Jersey.

He's opting for policy sessions with AIDS and allies instead of traditional practice runs, and he's

been working out how to respond to an expected barrage of attacks on his character.

The debate will be hosted by ABC News, and it carries unusually high stakes. It could be the largest

audience either candidate faces before election day and polls show that the race is

essentially tied. The mother of the suspected Appalachian High School gunman said she tried to warn the school

before the shooting.

That's number two. Marcy Gray told family members that she called the school on the morning of the

shooting. She said she warned a counselor about a quote extreme emergency involving
