| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to the good day podcast. Today's episode is going to be a quick one, like a little bonus |
| 0:17.8 | episode to start the week because this is something that I am thinking about |
| 0:22.3 | in the moment. It's Monday morning, fresh start, a fresh week. And I just, I'm kind of prepping |
| 0:28.7 | myself, or not really prepping myself up. That's a better word. I am mentally pepping myself up for |
| 0:35.3 | the week. And I just thought I would share some of those thoughts and feelings |
| 0:38.9 | with you guys real quick in case any of you need a little pep talk for the week as well. |
| 0:44.1 | So last week in my episode where I was talking about living in abundance, I shared that I struggled |
| 0:49.7 | last week. Last week was just a blah week for me. I mean, that's really the best way I can describe it. |
| 0:56.1 | I was just not my best self last week. I was emotional. Like, I just wasn't feeling very good. |
| 1:03.4 | I kind of blamed some hormones. But yeah, I just wasn't feeling good last week. I was in a phone |
| 1:08.6 | all week. Couldn't seem to shake it. And I noticed |
| 1:11.9 | as a week went on that I had been complaining a lot, just mostly about little things, but I was |
| 1:18.4 | complaining a lot. And the thing with complaining, the thing with negativity is it has a snowball |
| 1:25.2 | effect, right? Where you start to complain about one thing and then the next, |
| 1:30.3 | and then the next. And before you know it, everything around you is negative. I don't know if any of you |
| 1:35.4 | else do that or notice that in yourself. But once you kind of let that complaining |
| 1:40.4 | attitude soak into your mind and your thoughts, I just feel like then that's how you see everything around you. So it can be from little things. Like, you know, maybe the grocery store, it doesn't have your, the cereal you want. Like I'm just using this an example. You know, you go to the grocery store, you're getting everything you need for the week and they don't have the cereal you want. Well, that that really bothers you. And then you're negative about it and you're complaining about it. You tell your husband, oh, the store doesn't have this and this and that. And that's something small. But then when you're driving home from the store, you're maybe sitting in some traffic. And oh, this is bad because I got to hurry home. I got all this to do. And you're negative and you're complaining about that. |
| 2:17.8 | Like negativity breeds negativity. And so that's very much like where I was last week. Just being |
| 2:24.4 | honest with you guys, that was the place I was in. I wasn't happy about it. And I was very aware |
| 2:28.7 | that I was in that mindset. And you know what? Sometimes, here's the thing. Sometimes that's okay. It's not okay because we don't want to feel that mindset. And you know what? Sometimes, here's the thing, sometimes that's okay. It's not okay |
| 2:36.8 | because we don't want to feel that way, but it's okay, I feel like in the cycle of just being a |
| 2:41.4 | human, some weeks, some days, you're just not going to feel very peppy and you're just kind of blah |
