Donald Trump is gaining ground in the polls. U.S. troops are

deploying to Israel and SpaceX caught a rocket out of the air.

Number 1. Donald Trump is chipping away at Kamala Harris's lead in national polls. There are three weeks and one day to go until the presidential election.

And the latest polls show that the race is still neck in neck.

But some sentiment has shifted in Trump's direction.

That includes polling supporting the deportation of undocumented immigrants.

Trump has been leaning into this topic at campaign rallies,

and one poll shows he maintains a lead in trust to handle immigration.

In other campaign news, a man was arrested outside of a Trump event in California on Saturday. He was charged with a legal possession of a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine.

The man had claimed he was a journalist and had VIP access.

Trump had not yet arrived at the event.

Federal law enforcement does not appear so far

to be treating this incident as an assassination attempt.

The Secret Service said in a statement on Sunday that Trump was not in danger. Number two. The U.S. is sending a missile defense system and troops to Israel. This is the first significant deployment of U.S. troops to

Israel since the war in Gaza began just over a year ago. The Biden

administration will send one of its most advanced missile defense systems and about 100 U.S. troops to Israel.

The move comes as the U.S. is expecting an imminent Israeli assault on Iran.

That could draw an attack on Israel in response.
