Hey, friends, welcome back to yet another episode of Everyday Truth.

I'm here in the Holiday Inn Express in Simpsonville, South Carolina. had the great opportunity this morning to preach for

Pastor Steve Cox and the great people of Bible Baptist Church. And if you want to see a church

As you know, we're in First Kings chapter 20 and we've been talking a bit about how God gets people's attention.

And God has already showed himself strong to Ahab through the contest at Mount Carmel but Ahab for some reason has reverted back to a position of not trusting the

Lord not seeking the Lord and here in 1st Kings 20 he's facing another kind of a battle. This is not a

drought, but Ben Haddad, the king of Syria, has actually come and surrounded the city and has made

some pretty audacious demands of Ahab, said, I'm going to take your silver and gold, and I'm going to take some of

your kingly harem to myself. And Ahab unwisely has actually said yes to Ben Haddad. But then
