Hey, friends, I appreciate you coming back today for the episode. And I've really been,

0:42.6

I've really been looking forward to talking about this strange passage of scripture found

0:49.0

in the latter half of First Kings chapter three. Here's the context. Solomon has been given this marvelous gift from God.

1:50.1

1:58.4

and stood before him. The one woman said, oh my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house,

2:06.1

and I was delivered of a child with her in the house. So we both had children. And it came to pass the

2:12.2

third day after that I was delivered that this woman was delivered also. So there it is. We had children three days

2:18.7

apart. And we were together. There was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

2:25.1

And this woman's child died in the night because she overlaid it. So unfortunately, what happened was this woman rolled over in her sleep and the baby suffocated,

2:39.6

this infant and this sad and tragic.

2:43.0

But here's what happened, said the one woman.
