Monday, March 11th, 2024. The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know. A new report has been released on the Euvaldi Elementary School shooting that killed 21 children and teachers in 2022.

An independent report commissioned by the city of Eauldi found that none of the city's officers violated department policy.

However, previous investigations conducted over the last two years

found the opposite, citing various failures by all responding officers. While this new report does

acknowledge some missteps, it ultimately defends the actions of the police. Families of victims

are outraged by the results of the study and

accuse police of a leadership void during the shooting, which lasted 77 minutes before the police

confronted the shooter. You know the term overnight sensation? I don't think it has ever

fit a politician more than Katie Bray, the Republican senator from

Alabama. This time last week, most people had no idea who she was. And then, seemingly out of

nowhere, she was picked to deliver the Republican rebuttal to Joe Biden's state of the union

address.

And boy, did she make an impression? Her response was so polarizing that within two days, it was recreated on Saturday Night Live

with Scarlett Johansson playing the part of Senator Katie Bray.
