How do you feed over 2 million people when every road to them is blocked by an army?

That is the question that Joe Biden and the White House are trying to answer as they face more and more pressure to get food into Gaza.

Now, we've talked a lot about the war between Israel and Hamas, the October 7th attack

by Hamas in Israel that killed at least 1,000 people and the 30,000 Palestinians that have

been killed by Israel since the attack.

But even if Israel stopped dropping American-made bombs on the people of Palestine today, there would still be dozens, if not hundreds of Palestinians, dying on a daily basis because the area is essentially out of food.

Here's a terrifying statistic. According to the United Nations, if you counted every single human in the world facing famine or starvation,

80% of those people would be found in Gaza. And the White House is facing a lot of pressure

to do something about the dire situation in Palestine. And if you were to look at Gaza on a map,

you might think, okay, well, they have a coastline on the Mediterranean.

Why can't they just go fishing for food? Or why can't they import their food that way?

And that's because for decades, Israel has blocked any goods coming into Gaza from sea or air.

And right before Israel ended its occupation of Gaza in 2006, they blew up the only airport there before they left.

And when it comes to fishing, Palestinians can only go between six to 15 nautical miles out from the shore before they're met by the Israeli Navy.

And they don't really even have fuel to do that right now.

So the only way to get anything into the area legally is through

three land crossings, all of which are currently blocked by Israel. So to get around this and help

food, water, and aid get to the Palestinians in Gaza, the U.S. is working on a plan to build a temporary
