| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Friday's morning show podcast because you deserve a better morning. |
| 0:05.3 | Happy International Women's Day and in honor of today, I, Carla Marie, am going to take over the entire episode of the morning show podcast and do my work and Anthony's work. |
| 0:15.3 | Well, I wish someone had told me that prior to this because I wouldn't have written anything. |
| 0:19.7 | Just kidding. That's not the point of today. I will not also be doing your work. Well, that sounds like it would be silly. Yes. So I am Anthony, by the way. I still have to work? Yes. | 1:45.0 | Why can't they just go fishing for food? Or why can't they import their food that way? |
| 1:50.4 | And that's because for decades, Israel has blocked any goods coming into Gaza from sea or air. |
| 1:55.9 | And right before Israel ended its occupation of Gaza in 2006, they blew up the only airport there before they left. |
| 2:03.9 | And when it comes to fishing, Palestinians can only go between six to 15 nautical miles out from the shore before they're met by the Israeli Navy. |
| 2:12.1 | And they don't really even have fuel to do that right now. |
| 2:15.1 | So the only way to get anything into the area legally is through |
| 2:19.2 | three land crossings, all of which are currently blocked by Israel. So to get around this and help |
| 2:25.5 | food, water, and aid get to the Palestinians in Gaza, the U.S. is working on a plan to build a temporary |
