From the New York Times, I'm Michael Burbaro. This is the Daily.

Today, any day now, Senate Republicans will present a vision for overhauling health care

0:14.7

that could take insurance away from millions and millions of Americans. And very few people,

0:20.5

not even many Republicans, know what's in the bill. Why Senate leaders are crafting the

0:25.8

most important legislation of the Trump presidency in secret. It's Monday, June 19th.

0:38.9

Let me ask you about domestically the issue of health care, your Republican colleague,

0:42.6

Senator Ron Johnson said, I want to know exactly what's in the Senate bill. It's not a good

0:47.4

process. What's your assessment of the process of evaluating health care in the Senate?

1:33.9

and there's a really good reason for that. Well, what is the reason? They don't want

1:37.8

anyone to know what's in their bill. Well, first of all, tell me what you mean when you

1:41.6

say doing it in private and behind closed doors. What is that actually? They talk, you know,

1:46.6

they have launches regularly and those launches are always private. But there are also Republicans

1:52.6

right now who aren't happy with this. It's not just the Democrats who are clamoring. We've

1:57.5

begun to hear from Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. If I'm not going to see a bill before we have
