0:18.0	On Friday night, the New York Times broke a bombshell story about Trump's attempts to use the DOJ to overturn the Georgia election

0:25.6	Here's what happened.
0:27.6	Remember a few weeks ago when Trump made a perfect call to Georgia Secretary of State
0:31.1	Brad Raffinsberger asking him to overturn the electoral results.
0:34.8	It's now coming out that at the same time Trump was also plotting to replace acting Attorney General
0:39.2	Jeffrey Rosen at the DOJ because he was refusing to send a letter to overturn the Georgia election
0:43.7	results. The Times describes in their own words an apprentice-style presentation
0:47.9	in front of Trump between two men named Jeffrey. I wish I was kidding
0:51.2	about this part. Jeffrey won was the acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen
0:55.0	and Jeffrey 2 was the head of the DOJ Civics Division
0:58.0	named Jeffrey Clark, who apparently was willing to use the DOJ to overturn the Georgia results.
1:04.8	They each presented their arguments and Trump was all but ready to fire Jeffrey Rosen.
1:09.3	But a number of career lawyers at the DOJ all got on a conference call and agreed that if Rosen were
1:14.0	to be fired they would all resign on Mass. The Mass resigns would have resulted in a huge
1:19.4	scandal which was enough for Trump's advisors to be able to convince him that it was a bad idea to fire Rosen.
1:24.6	But we all know what happened next, the casual deadly insurrection at the Capitol a few days later.
1:29.2	Now we're back to the question that I feel like I ask every episode.
