We're in the book of Luke this morning and chapter number two.

We began what's called the classic Christmas story in the beginning of Luke chapter two.

We talked about the fact that God used the king of the world at that time, Caesar,

really just as a pawn in his plan to get Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem

where the prophet Micah had prophesied,

Messiah would be born, and that's what happened. So verses 1 through 4 we talked about that

yesterday and now we're in a verse number well look at verse 5 where the Bible says this this ends

the sentence from yesterday to be taxed with Mary his espousedoused wife, being great with child. So Mary's just

about to give birth. They are on their way to Bethlehem, and watch what happens. I know you

know the story, but there's some really cool factors here that you want to consider. Okay, so verse

five, verse six, and so it was that while they were there,

the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And I know I've pointed this out

before to some of our church families, but what an amazing verse. And so it was that while they were there, the days were accomplished.

I think sometimes if we're not careful, we'll get a certain narrative in our mind about the birth of Christ that is not accurate.
