Let's fast forward.

Let's fast forward six more months.

Isn't it interesting that in the Bible, most of what we know about people's lives is unknown.

Most of most of people's lives whom we know are unknown parts of their life.

We know the episodes. We know the peaks in the valleys. But typically, we know very little about a person's life. So think about even Mary. You know, we know when she had the announcement. We know about her

trip. We know the length of her trip. We know when she came back. But just think about these six

months or five months, whatever it was in Nazareth, as Joseph and Mary have now are living together,

but they're not acting as husband and wife in that sense. These must have been a long days.

These must have been days when neighbors and friends and loved ones, perhaps,

were looking at them a little bit suspiciously.

I mean, a lot of life is just the day-by-day, mundane, week after week,

faithfulness to what we know God wants and what God has told us to do.

And that was Joseph and Mary.

And then the Bible says that, well, look at it,

Luke chapter two. And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. This taxing was first made when Serenius was governor of Syria and all went to be taxed everyone into his own city.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judea unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was at the house and lineage of David to be taxed with Mary,
