Hey everyone. Welcome back. Thank you for tuning in. I have another fun one for you here today with Caitlin Gerben.

Caitlin, of course, just coming off her amazing victory at Trans-Grancanaria, one of the premier races in the world.

And a race that I was recently at, Caitlin, of course, lives here in the Pacific Northwest. We wanted to do something in person on the island.

That didn't work out.

We wanted to do something here closer to our neighborhood.

That didn't work out either, of course, given the circumstances.

So we connected for a Zoom conference, as we're all doing nowadays.

And Caitlin had a lot of great things to say.

We talked, of course, much about her amazing victory at Transgrankanaria. What went into it, she admits that it was probably the

best performance of her career. So it was really fun to kind of explore and discover kind of what

goes into those sorts of kind of career-changing performances, those days and

moments where you sort of launch into the next level. But of course, much goes into that

behind the scenes prior to that ultimate thrilling moment. So it was cool to talk through that

with Caitlin. We also go through her background a little bit,

how she got into the sport. And then we talked about more human stuff, body image things that she's

been open about and went behind the curtain and talked about sponsorship stuff a little bit.

Hope you guys find that interesting. I think it's little spoken about and even less understood what some

athletes are considering when they are thinking about who they align themselves with. And of course,

Caitlin just changed sponsors this year. And so I thought it would be interesting and relevant to

talk about with her.
